The heathland

The Course

Eighteen holes of authentic MacKenzie heathland, high above the Colne Valley.

Designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie.

One of the highest courses in England, yet a flat and easy walk. The par-5s, the par-3s and the opening four holes all run in opposing directions, so a round plays to every point of the compass, and the celebrated 'tower' par-3s are set around the old quarry workings. Firm, free-draining fairways keep the course in play all year.
